Bjelin wins NeoCon 2024 award for Woodura hardened wood flooring

Bjelin successfully won the ‘Best of NeoCon 2024 Award’ for its exceptionally durable hardened wood flooring. The company rightly won the prestigious award that recognized ground-breaking ideas and innovative, sustainable design.

“We’re honored to win this distinguished award. It’s a testament that our range of Woodura hardened wood flooring is one of a kind” said Zach Adams, Bjelin’s General Manager for the US. “Our premium quality floors are built to withstand the test of time and are stronger and more water resistant than traditional flooring.”

Bjelin’s Woodura hardwood flooring, featuring cutting-edge Scandinavian design, received acclaim at the prestigious NeoCon event hosted at the Mart in Chicago. NeoCon has been a paramount fixture in the commercial interior design industry since its inception in 1969.

Powered by innovative technologies developed by sister company Välinge Innovation, Bjelin’s Woodura flooring boasts exceptional durability and longevity. The combination of Woodura surface technology, Välinge Compositek Core for moisture resistance, and the leakproof 5G Dry floor locking system ensures a robust and water-resistant flooring solution built to endure for generations. Furthermore, the wood used in these resilient floors is responsibly sourced from FSC-certified European forests, aligning with ethical and sustainable practices.

Bjelin’s hardened wood floors feature the patented Woodura technology, a high-quality solution that maximises the use of raw materials while creating 100% real wood floors with three times the strength of conventional wood floors. Paired with the leakproof 5G Dry floor locking system, these floors ensure lasting durability and are quick and easy to install.

The products are available in a wide range of plank sizes, from Small to XXL, and in various popular Scandi-inspired colours. The exceptionally durable flooring is suitable for both residential and heavy-traffic commercial areas.

Bjelin is part of the Swedish family-owned Pervanovo company group based in Viken, in the south of Sweden, with state-of-the-art production facilities in Croatia. The group has 2200 employees with a yearly turnover of close to 2 billion SEK. The founders of Bjelin invented the world’s first laminate flooring products during their time at Perstorp in the late 1970s before introducing the innovative click flooring in the 1990s, now the company group’s leading product line. Bjelin’s global sales organization are currently marketing their latest green flooring innovation, Hardened Wood, a technology for creating durable and eco-friendly flooring. Hardened Wood made by Woodura® technology is patented by the group’s R&D company Välinge Innovation AB.
