Siempelkamp-Xiangsheng Contract

Guangxi Xiangsheng Household Material Technology Co, Ltd. and Siempelkamp have taken a significant step in their collaborative journey by signing a contract for a new super strength particleboard line. Xiamen Jianyida Co, Ltd., acting as Xiangsheng’s import agency, played a pivotal role in securing this agreement. The new plant, with a robust annual capacity of 600,000 cubic meters, will be established in the Xiangsheng High-End Green Household Furnishing Industrial Park.

This project marks the second major venture between Xiangsheng and Siempelkamp. The ceremony, attended by company executives and prominent political figures, highlighted the deepening relationship between the two entities. Pang Zansong, President of Xiangsheng, praised Siempelkamp’s advanced technology and its contribution to their previous successful collaboration. In 2020, Xiangsheng launched its first Siempelkamp particleboard plant with a capacity of 300,000 m³ annually. This success has set a promising precedent for the new project.

The “super strength” feature of the new particleboard line is characterized by the use of elongated flakes in the core layer, which significantly enhances bending strength. This technological advancement will support the production of durable and high-quality particleboards tailored to meet diverse market demands.

Kosta Karakolidis, CEO of Siempelkamp Qingdao, expressed pride in continuing to support Xiangsheng’s growth in China and Southeast Asia. “We are honored to be part of Xiangsheng’s journey and look forward to contributing our expertise to this groundbreaking project,” Karakolidis said.

The project encompasses cutting-edge technology, including the latest generation knife ring flakers, automated robots, and a comprehensive process technology suite. The new plant is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2025, producing customized particleboards in thicknesses ranging from 8 to 40 mm. These boards will serve a variety of applications, from household furniture to lightweight construction materials.

The expansion aligns with Xiangsheng’s strategic vision to dominate the high-quality particleboard market, further strengthening their position within the industry. As the project progresses, it symbolizes a promising future for both partners in the ever-evolving world of particleboard manufacturing.
