The first edition of interzum forum italy, held in Bergamo, has concluded with resounding success. As a fresh addition to the global calendar of furniture and interior design events, this biennial forum brought together industry professionals from around the world. Spanning June 4-5, 2024, the event drew 4,820 visitors from 52 countries and showcased 216 exhibitors from 24 nations.
The forum’s strategic location in Bergamo, nestled within the heart of Italy’s bustling furniture districts, played a crucial role in its success. With excellent transport links connecting it to major European cities, the event was easily accessible for international attendees.
Exceeding Expectations
Thomas Rosolia, CEO of Koelnmesse Italia, expressed his satisfaction: “The premiere of the interzum forum italy has exceeded all expectations. We were thrilled by the high number of visitors and the quality of engagement perfectly aligned with our goals. The positive feedback underscores the need for a biennial event like this, alternating with interzum cologne.”

Rich Conference Program
The conference component of interzum forum italy 2024 stood out as a major highlight. The opening roundtable, titled “Business Outlook: Global Innovation and Local Production”, featured key industry voices including Lorenzo Tavazzi and Edi Snaidero. Across three stages—Trend Talk, Trend Stage, and Product Stage—over 30 events saw 60 speakers discussing the latest trends in materials, finishing, and eco-friendly production processes.
Awards and Future Plans
The event also marked the first edition of the interzum forum italy award, celebrating excellence in Innovation and ESG & Sustainability. Seven companies were honored during a gala dinner at the Hotel San Marco.
With its successful debut, interzum forum italy has firmly established itself as a pivotal event for the furniture and interior design sectors. Plans for the next edition are already underway, scheduled for June 4-5, 2026, in Bergamo.
